Cronin clearly distances himself from Sam Raimi’s approach.
Unfortunately that leaves us without the goofiness and technical boldness of the originals, resulting in another rather formulaic gory horror.

Original premise but badly executed.
Its intrigue keeps you a bit engaged, but its awful acting and absurd ending (mix of cheesy melodrama with explosive action) with lacklustre SFX damage the film.
