Stale acting from the main cast with a too predictable screenplay full of incoherencies and scares that do not really land.
Only thing that can be saved are the make-up and special effects, and still those aren’t anything new.
Besides some debatable choices in editing and sound mixing, Casademunt’s feature debut presents an amazing score, beautiful photography and splendid acting with a very solid script. Great future ahead of him!

In DELIVERANCE (1972) Billy Redden played the banjo-pickin’ backwoods mountain boy. Only problem, he couldn’t play the banjo.
