Overloaded with goofiness and some action, the delivery on the two elements is weak. It for sure provides some smirks but nothing else.
More on the family issues and less crime story would made it better.
Horror series repackaged as anthology.
It succeeds in evoking different genres and emotions (unsettling, suspense, spookiness, humour…).
But the result is uneven, some parts being way better than others.

Although amateur in some technical elements and acting, its story is so chaotic that it feels real.

B/W 16mm combining perfectly real and fictionalised newsreel-style clips.
Reminiscent of The Man in the High Castle with an unnecessary love story, its ending is predictable but satisfying.
Great score and soundtrack!
The film is basically a sequence of very carefully composed still shots (only once does the camera move).
This is coupled with a fantastic tale of morality vs. the “greater good” sustained by a very suitable sober acting.
