Harmony Korine (writing) and Larry Clark (directing) joined forces in their first cinematic incursion in this great raw, dirty and realistic piece of filmmaking that looks splendidly into the lives of a bunch of street kids, solidly play by a very young and amateur ensemble, while they spend their day having sex, drinking, committing petty thefts, having drugs, and getting into fights.

Although it enjoys from a fabulous leading performance by Vincent Lacoste and an interesting premise, the execution of this film ends up feeling somewhat flat due to an unnecessary large number of side characters and plotlines.

A good performance from Ethan Hawke and solid look at the state of many cities during the Covid-lockdown era are the only things that save this completely cryptic movie by Abel Ferrara.

Maria Schell is the brightest star in these white nights filmed in the beautiful sets of Cinecittà. Marcello Mastroianni and Jean Marais cannot compare to her in a love triangle story that suffers as the most dramatic elements are unravelled and we get close to the end.
